Jason came to our school as a special speaker for Book Week and boy were we in for a treat! Great presentation, great message and lots of laughs! Jason has a way of connecting and engaging with kids (and adults) that resonates with each person in the room. I love that Jason had the kids take a pledge to reach out to a friend, adult, leader, trusted person if they are feeling sad or overwhelmed or struggling. I was nervous about how Jason would handle kindergarteners, but he kept all K-6 students engaged with a lasting impact. Several students "wrote books" after his visit, and many were inspired to begin Christmas Jars with their families.

Jason's "Words as Weapons" presentation totally engrossed students and complemented our anti-bullying program. He incorporated our bullying survey data, targeting areas of concern. Over 450 students per assembly sat in pin-drop silence as he shared relatable childhood stories about riding the bus to school.
